I was in the sewing room, about to finish Sidra's art bag, when I saw this white Indian cotton lying around. I've used some of it to make a hat and it was still about 1 metre left. And suddenly I had the urge to make this white dress.

The pattern is basically the same as this purple dress with hood , sans hood and sleeves. I put 4 buttons on the bust and added a pair of big pocket. The neckline and armholes are finished with ready-made double-gauze binding strips. Love this quick and easy project!
Pattern is an alteration of a pattern in Lisetteリネンの服作り.

This is so naturally beautiful. Soft as a cotton bud, stylish and well made. Bravo!
I discovered your blog a week ago and today I am going to buy some cotton for a dress. You reminded me how much I loved to sew and make stuff by myself :)
Thank you, greetings from Poland :)
sooo cute! i love big pockets and button detail - love your style!
Beautiful dress!! Very well made and I love the details you added. Good work!

Thank you everyone!
dozz, I altered a store-bought pattern to make this dress. You can use any simple shift dress pattern and add the pockets and inverted box pleats at the front :)
I love this! The pleat and pockets are beautiful.
Such a beautiful dress and the style is lovely.
The buttons are so cute, is it a snowflake pattern on them?
i bought a sewing machine about a yr ago and have only used it about twice as I am just so busy. this dress has inspired me to learn to make dresses properly. i shall finish the dress i started over a year ago first, then I am trying something exactly like this...although i doubt it will be as stunning as yours.
